Questions parents ask
The six questions most parents have, answered without a click.
What do we get?
A three-minute animated bedtime story. Your child is the felt star, with their name stitched in and said by Grandad Joe.
What age is it for?
Best for ages 2 to 7. Brothers and sisters often enjoy watching too.
When do stories arrive?
Your first within 24 hours, then a new adventure every Sunday at 5pm (UK time). Change the day any time.
When is £9.99 taken?
Your first story is 99p. £9.99 a month starts with your next adventure, at 5pm on the first Sunday after you order.
Can we watch on the TV?
Yes, cast or AirPlay from the player, or download each story to keep.
How do I cancel?
In Account settings, before your first £9.99 on Sunday, and nothing more is charged. After that, a clear cancel button.
More questions
Can we choose which stories we get?
Each adventure is a surprise. We choose the order so each new adventure brings a new world, and you will see your stories when you sign in.
Can I change the story day?
Yes. In My stories, choose any day of the week and a time from 3pm to 7pm (UK time) for each child. Stories always come at least 4 days apart, so a change may start the following week. We show you the date of the next story before you save.
What is the Treasure Box?
Every story ends with a keepsake for your child to keep. In My stories you can download their Treasure Box card (A4, free to print): each card shows 15 keepsakes from their own stories, already drawn and ready to colour, with a spot for the birthday surprise. Colour each one in and tick it off when it arrives. A new card appears every 15 weeks.
Is it made with AI?
Every story, scene and piece of music is designed and built by us once, in our felt style. To say your child’s name, the narrator’s voice is made with a licensed voice tool, which is why you can hear it before you pay.
Is a screen OK before bed?
Each story is short, calm and ends with your child tucked back into bed. Many families watch it together as part of the routine. You choose when to press play.
Are there stories for boys or for girls?
Every story is for every child. Choose any look and any colour.
What do you keep about my child?
Only their first name, the look you choose and their birthday day and month, never the year. No photos. You can ask us to delete everything at any time: email info@snuggleupstories.com.
What if I spelt the name wrong?
Change the spelling, or how Grandad Joe says it (the "Spell how it sounds" box), any time in My child in My stories. It applies from the next story we make. Stories already made are not re-made for a change of mind, but if we got something wrong in a story, email info@snuggleupstories.com and we will put it right.
Can I add a brother or sister?
Yes, from My plan in My stories. Each brother or sister gets their own look, name and adventures on your plan. Each brother or sister costs £4.99 a month on the Adventure Club or £49 a year on a yearly plan (£3.99 or £39 if your stories come every fortnight).
Can I get a refund?
Each story is made just for your child, so once we start making it the usual 14-day right to cancel no longer applies (you agree to this before paying). If something is wrong with a story, or a payment is not what you expected, email info@snuggleupstories.com and we will look at it personally and put it right.
